    coolant leak

Ok i was driving home from work and my car started to over heat so i stop and checked it none of my hoses were bad so i went and got some coolant and it was leaking on the bottom side of the im does that mean that my gaskets bad or can coolant come out of it at all. Anything to help out before i put a new gasket on would help out.

sup bro i had the same problem last week. i pulled over and none of my hoses looked to be bad. so when i got it home i filled my radiator with water to see where it was dripping and it turned out to be the heaterhose after all. check the hose right under the distributor because it rips and cannot be seen until you run water through it. other than that not sure bro. hope this helps

Bottom side of IM? Check around the T-stat housing there are a couple of hoses running off of there. Look for ruptured hoses. If the leak is obvious you will see it. If all else fails you can get a pressure tester for the cooling system and it will point out you leak a lot better.

I think this ,may be where my leak is from but I jsut repalced the upper and lower radiator hoses a few weeks ago (lower hose runs to the thermostat) and today I am replacing the radiator still trying to stop the leak and I see some coolant ont he bottom of the IM. anyone know what exact hose I might need?

well my radiator was fine, so I returned the one to Advance Auto that I had bought and got the heater hose. My OEM heater hose had a crack in it and was leaking. after replacing all the fluid I started the car, now I can see where the main leak is coming from. Intake Manifold Gasket is poking out and fluid pours from it So my car will be taken to my mechanic this week to be repaired..along with a few other minor things

Well that sucks sounds like you need a new intake manifold gasket.

You can change that yourself its not that hard. As long as you have some mechanical skill and a Haynes or Chilton manual. All it takes is time. Plus it will save you alot more money.
