Hey meng I just did this yesterday on my DS window.
O------OO-----O----O------O
This is what the bolt pattern is like ya know. The first bolt on the left is the adjustable one. This bolt will let you adjust the window so when you roll it up it doesnt go forward. I would also check and make sure that the window is inside the track on the weatherstrip. even if its off a little bit it will skew the way the window goes up.
PM me if you have any q's. Like I said i worked on this last night so its still kinda fresh!
Paul
Sold, but not forgotten.

Mine did the same thing.
The fix? Silicon Lubricant.
Spray down in your run channels. Your run channels are what holds your window in place. Spray down in the run channel by your rear view mirror, and by the door handle on the outside.
For better results, use alot, and spray along your window channels aswell. This fixed my problem.
Hope this helps.

You got to listen to this guy! All the rest is BS. spraying all that junk is not going to help. Take the panel off (remember to be super careful with the white door handle clip) and then realign the window. You may need some small wires to connect the power to the switch so you don't keep needing to put on take off panel each time you check.

Spraying the lubricant in the run channels frees up any dirt or grime that the window might have lodged up in there after months and months of use. Thus causes the run channels to pretty much "grab" the window when rolling up.
Any easier way to check if it's the run channel's, is to hold your hand on the window area where it leaves gap. Roll it up, and keep the window pressed against the run channel. If your window doesn't leave a gap after doing this, your run channel's are dirty.
I've done this, and it worked for me flawlessly. However, if this doesn't work for him, then maybe he would have to try and re-assure some bolts.
Just giving him the easier way, before he attempts the harder way. It wouldn't hurt to try.

ok...that's true. Process of elimination works best, easier to harder also. But if the windows are tinted, be careful not to get the spray on it or tint will peel off.
