How to install shocks????

I have my new setup but Im not sure how to install them, by saying this I m mean the top were it meets the chasis, mine came with hardware but I dont know how to install,I cant use the stock setup as arefrence because someone messed with it and now my struts are pushing my hood up.Please help.My setups below>

The shock moves up and down thru the chasis and hits the hood.

Well thats not good.

Easiest way to install is on a lift, with a good spring compressor and some air tools

I must stress you need a good compressor though. I bought a cheap one from harbor freight and it broke on the first spring. If I hadn't been in the shop it could have uncompressed in my face.

Now the order to assemble..what brand are they?

I sooo comfy with working in suspension. I just rented/bought a spring compressor from advance auto, use my hand tools and change and install bought front struts in about 30-40 minutes while consuming a few beers. I wished I remember that link that shows a step by step detailed with pics for suspension install

Thats the last thing im woried about.List to do....
1.Replace the shocks and springs of course, Right now I have cut springs.
2.Alingment
3.New Calipers(I have lude calipers wich are scrathing my rotors)
4.Fix my eratic idling
5.Get a header so I can have an oxygen sensor
6Have my exhaust built so im not illegal.

Im not worried because I dont have my license yet Im still going to drive it but not all the time.During the summer Im going to do a complete susspensin makeover.Most likely KYB AGX'x in Neuspeed springs,swabars,strut bars, brakes.
