or if u want to be cheap like me and keep the car going for another week or 2, take a hammer and hit the alternator, that will make your alternator charge again and the light will dissapear.

      it has eyes!!!

No there is a strainer at the pump itself then it goes through a fuel filter.

ok But well since this site has a purpose...Where exactly is the fuel pump located? i checked my manual (haynes) and it doesn't specifically tell me where certain things are. Pics would help out more...plz...i gotta do THIS B4 tonight!..and give me the DIY tightening alternator belt also..that would also help while we're fixing the FP. Reply in an hour PLEEZE!!!! I need to get car workin by monday, as in Tomorrow!

                        1. Fuel pump is in the tank.
                        2. Tightening the alt belt is in the DIY section. I posted one up removing the alternator. Instead of taking the bolts out all you need to do is loosen the 14mm, 12mm, and tighten down the 10mm which should raise the alt tightening the belt.

So far...this kind of part...is a bitch!..I know it wasn't easy from the start...but, Gah! The Haynes manual book didn't even mention about other things that are in the way of removing the fuel tank strap bolts. Frickin' ***. But Nope not done yet...Sunday worked on it. But left it in the garage. Why can't manual books be MORE specific?....

Fock it, this site is the most specific manual book anyone of us will need IMO.

sounds to me that your alternator may be taking a shit. as for the no crank, may be you fried the coil in the distr. by cranking it so many times. good luck though.

Sounds like you need to stop taking it to those aftermarket hacks, and find you a better mechanic.
