    Exhaust Smell In The Cabin

    I can't figure out where is coming from, well from the exhaust obviously, but you know what I mean, any clue guys of what may cause this to happen? where are there some posible leak location? Thanks in advance for those that reply

    i have the same problem but i think its because i have a hole in my down pipe some where

      I had the same problem and mine was the flex peice in their bein completely shot.

        im having this situation too, only when i turn the heat on though. When i do, it smells like something from the exhaust system...im hoping its NOT carbon dioxide. IS IT??? my lil sis says it smells like Kiwi...I know that's not what it is though. Anyone else might know???

          I have the same thing with one of mine that has bad valve seals, exhaust is just stinky on that one. I think it is my tailight seals leaking exhaust into the trunk as they do leak a little.

            That is carbon monoxide and yes if you smell exhaust it is deadly.

            The 90 Accord 4DR Sedan my son and I are building.

              haha i knew it was one of those...i just figured Dioxide cuz if the "Di" part haha. But Monoxide it is!...that's deadly. I'm gonna die.

                As everyone mentioned. Check exhaust for leaks if its coming in the cabin. You prob got a small leak somewhere that you aren't aware of.

                  If it's truly from your exhaust, check your header flange/gasket areas for leaks. If not there, check for leaks along your exhaust piping under the car.

                  If its not an exhaust leak, check into your oil pressure sender unit located above your oil filter (remove oil filter to see it). They tend to crack and leak oil onto your header downpipe, burning the oil and smell goes into your cabin along with some faint smoke.
