ok im getting pissed off here. My car had only a little vibration at idle since I owned it, not hardly noticeable exept the steering wheel shook. Somtimes it was a little worse but still not that bad . The tranny jerked the car when going into gear also. After reading on the site for a long time I figured my mount was worn out since I replaced my front last year. after replaceing the front there was no more reverse vibration. anyways I finaly decided to get a new rear mount in January since I had extra money. The guy I took it to changed it and the vibrating was really bad over the next couple of days, like a damn jackhammer almos.t I went back and we trouble shooted it and found that the little elbow vaccumm line on the mount was jammed or somthing he replaced the peace and it got a lot better. The thing is its still a lot worse then it was before I changed the mount. The mounts functioning properly. theres almost no vibration in neutral or reverse! the only time it vibrates is in drive. I have no idea whats wrong the only thing I can think of is the transmission, it seems to be getting tired and for the past 2 months the 2-3 shift is "hicupping" somtimes. I read that if the torque converter is fucked it vibrates or somthing. I cant check for codes eather because my d4 light is burnt. Can somone please help me its driving me crazy

I seen where the torque converter is torn into chunks since I knew a guy in a 5th gen accord always 123D shifts all the time. Well to me it should like idle problem since you changed all of your motor mounts check to see if one of the tube is disconnected. and when you mean by Virbrated like EARTHQUAKE in the car or like idle issues please explain more in detail. Thanks I will respond as soon as you reply =)either kill it or drift it...

the idle is fine there's just a lot more vibration then there was before the mount was changed but the new mount works. the valve moves and switchs at 900 rpm like it should, the mount wasnt cheap it was almost 200$ its an anchor brand and it has a tested ok sticker on it. my transmission shifts fine, but its funny that there no more vibraion in reverse then neutral? but a lot more in drive. It has to be mount related

u have to get your vacuum hoses tested because at idle, the vacuum hoses are supposed 2 engage on the back mount to make it softer and stop the vibration in the car... i have the same problem in my car, i got my answer from the honda dealership... i have yet figured out how 2 fix it tho1990 Accord EX Sold

Best I can say is, try to warranty out the mount, replace it.
Or raise the idle to about 800 or 900, My LX shakes like a bastard, my new ex doesn't.
My lx has new mounts front and rear, my ex has the originals but it idles much better.
on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
