    Another Oil catch can Q...

Reading around on oil catch cans, saw the DIY and everything. I was thinking its not really necessary to have some kind of filter for the oil is it? This of course is as long as your oil/air line is not in-line like the home depot DIY filter catch can is.

What im thinking of doing for a catch can.
lines coming in fron a pcv valve and valve cover.
line going out to the intake.
filling the assembly with steel wool to better catch vapors.

the whole point is to catch the oil from going back into your intake?

It works. Iamanonymous had it on his boosted 5g before it got stolen. I dunno if they did it to the black beast but yea. He said it worked pretty well. And the DIY was cheap too. YOu need two btw. One for vc-intake and the other pcv-intake manifold.

I did the DIY catch can way back when and its still laying around in my garage too. The can worked very well, I caught about a quarter of the canister full every 3 weeks or so.

Now im using a greddy style catch can and filled it with steel wool. I havent checked it, but Im sure its working well

It does catch oil but it should be like cokinuts because the oil is caught and puddles in the container. But you need to remember to empty it every so often, because if it tops out you'll suck about an ounce of oil all at once and that wouldn't be good.

I put mine in line with the pcv system and put a filter on the other one. And I capped off the port on the intake.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
