Alright so you prob got the just of things from my large topic lol, but its hard to catch ppls attention. Anyway I used a jumper wire today to relay the fule pump at the main relay harness......it worked just fine....so did my old one. Anyway so I grabbed what I thought was a good working main relay from my 91 LX auto, and put it into this 90 EX auto. That didnt work....so I took one from my 91 EXR 5spd which works fine for a fact... as it enguages my fule pump fine. So that didnt work ither.......yet I can just jump the circut and it will work fine other then the fact it stays on constantly lol. So im wondering does year make a diff.....I asumed these relays were all the same. They look the same even all the sauder points..... I have the honda factory manual here and I managed to diagnose it this far and im sure if I get no help ill fiuger somthign out......but has anyone ever encounterd this problem or heard of it?

sorry fergot to mention that ya it clicks after I turn the key off, I had it in my hand. And like I said it works fine in my EX-R I even put it back in to make sure my car wasnt blowing them out or somthing. How if the harness can receive a signal and enough current to run the pump but a working main relay not send the signal....thanks for any input at all ppl im stuck on this one fer tonight at least ....tommorows a new day , only code im throwing in code 1 which is just o2 sensor or wires. nothign to do with anything.

About supposed relay problem, you either need fix your old one, or get one exactly like it. If that does not work, then You need to pull out your test light and multimeter and start poking around. Check this circuit and its grounds from top to bottom.

Well the gas tanks in my trunk I havent hooked it back up yet I didnt want to bother untill I could hear the fule pump working.....Im aware that the o2 sensor reads air fule ratios in order to determine the amount of fule the sending unit sends. I wasnt sure if bc it was throwing that code the fule pump wouldnt engauge.....but In trouble shooting it says warm the car up to normal opperating temps when checking for the o2 sensor.....therefor thats emplying it will run with a bad one. Just not properly. Also I have alredy checkd the main relay harness and it works just fine......as you said im thinking I may need the exact same 90 main relay. , Ill try and post some pics up of all my 3 relays today

Its almost so easy I didnt even bother to think of it......but I really didnt know that I have a cover off one downstairs ill have to go look , I really didnt think there was a fuse I thought it would just short the relay...but im gonna have to look at that asap thank you alot rylon for the sudjestion. its -30 here at the moment and its dark lol.....mite run out and have a look at the fuse

The #2 fuse in the under dash fuse panel is for the main relay and powers the fuel pump through the relay. It powers the relay through the #6 terminal and through the BLK-YEL wire. The relay could be bad or the ECM could not be energizing the fuel pump circuit also. Go from easy to hard though before condeming the ECU.

My #9 fuse inside the car is starter signal....
