Question, are the brake lines supposed to freely pour out fluid or just when you pump the brakes? one line is just pouring out fluid and the other just does it when I pump the brakes. What is supposed to be normal?

Oh yeah it was shut lol . I was talking about when i separated the brake lines from the calipers before I replaced them. Thats what I saw when I let them gravity drain freely before putting the new calipers on. the driver side was just draining by itself and I had to put the brakes to get the old fluids out the pass. side. so I was asking if the brake lines are supposed to function in a way that they are supposed to just flow freely or push fluid through the line when the brakes are applied? If that makes any sense I guess.
