    Clutch/Flywheel about to let go?

Ok, so I start up my car(93 Accord LX stock F22A1) to go get some groceries and its running for a few mins and then the idle starts to flux from 1-2.5k so I rev it a few times to see if that will stabilize it. No luck. But I do notice that it revs much quicker and takes a while for it to get down from the 4k mark when I rev. I just figure its still warming up and decide to take her out to see if it goes away once she warms up. I drive slowly, no music, and rev her again. This time it feels as if somethings loose. Almost like there is a bolt rubbing against something. So i'm not sure if it's the flywheel due to the way it was revving. Also, I noticed a large puddle of liquid on the ground. Looked like oil, but it was clean. And I know my car isnt that clean(251k miles) so i'm at a loss as to what that fluid is. So tomorrow i'm going to put her up on some stands and see what I can find but I was hoping to get some input from you guys. Thanks.

From the Symptoms you explain it sounds like you have a Coolant Leak (Idle Flux.) & (Puddle of Liquid).
Our CB7's are notorious for IDLE HUNT if there is air in the Cooling system.
The Cooling System needs to be repaired and completely bled of Air.
There are heaps of threads covering this problem, just do a search for it and you should find a cure.

Thanks. But what would make that light scraping sound when I rev? And why would the rpms stay up when I just stab the pedal real quick?

EDIT: I was reading the Coolant/overheating thread about 6-7 threads down and he said that his temp gauge got to the normal mark very quickly. Mine did too which I thought was weird since it was cold out and I havent driven my car all day. So i'm gonna now do some research. Thanks.

Check your throttle cable adjustment. Or could just have a sticky pedal. Just clean the throttle body up a bit and see if that helps it out.

Don't forget to lube the throttle shaft. Last time I cleaned the TB I didn't lube it, and it started sticking. A little WD-40 or similar was all it needed. :eek2:

Meh. I filled it back up since I can't locate the leak and now it's fine! WTF!?!?!?! I ran it and was looking for any leaks, no dice. Idle was fine! Drove it, nothing. But I did notice a weird sound when I revved it past 4k rpm still so maybe it did some damage to the motor? Either way. I flipped it off and got me a killer deal on a 99 Ford Ranger super cab 4x4. And it drives straight! So...no more spending $200/mo on tires. And gets around the same gas mileage. So. I'll probably sell the CB7. It's just not worth it being a money pit. If I wanted a pit, i'll invest it on a RWD V8. Its an awesome car, but just not worth all the problems she's been giving me. It's gotten to that point where i'm afraid to even drive her home from work(25mi) because of the motor.

You should pressure test your cooling system man. Check your oil to see if its overfilled. you have any white smoke coming out your exhaust?

Oil is fine, we filled her up with water and put some UV dye in it to see if we could spot the leak but no avail. Havent done a pressure test.

FIGURED IT OUT! A friggin drain bolt worked its way loose! Well...I think it's the drain bolt...it's a bolt that is just to the left of the AC compressor pulley. I went into the garage and hear a *drip**drip**drip* look under and bam! puddle of water!
