when i was changing my rear brake pads i stripped the top caliper bolt because i couldn't fit a socket up on there and only have the bottom lose. is there anything i can do to get that bolt out and can i swing up my caliper up just like the front?

You could try using a Single HEX Head Impact Socket or alternatively use a slightly smaller double hex socket a hit it on if the head is rounded.

use vice grips and then go buy a caliper pin kit to replaace the bolts...and no, you cant swing the caliper up like the front
