Rear Caliper

when i was changing my rear brake pads i stripped the top caliper bolt because i couldn't fit a socket up on there and only have the bottom lose. is there anything i can do to get that bolt out and can i swing up my caliper up just like the front?

Try to rap a cloth over the head of the bolt and force a wrench or whatever you using on it.

If that doesn't work, try some vice grips.

If THAT doesn't work use heat or an easy out.

By stripping the top bolt do you mean the Thread or did you round of the Head of the bolt.
You could try using a Single HEX Head Impact Socket or alternatively use a slightly smaller double hex socket a hit it on if the head is rounded.

the thread of the bolt is fine just the head is kind of rounded off the rear caliper has two bolts and i cant fit my socket on top of there and i had to use a wrench. i think i'm gonna see if i can find a smaller socket and use more lube on the bolt

Use a vice grip. I've done this before. Also, make sure you're turning it the right way.

use vice grips and then go buy a caliper pin kit to replaace the bolts...and no, you cant swing the caliper up like the front
