    Identify this wire!

I think its from some crappy alarm installation, but its coming from a hole in the firewall that looks almost stock. What do you think?

Here's the plug, it sits unplugged

Here's where it comes through the firewall.

It is two pairs of three wires, green, yellow, brown I think..they are zip tied to run along the stock wiring harness here

There's alot of loose wiring, it runs around the radiator support above the drivers headlight, loops around the power steering fluid resevoir, and just hangs out...

I was going to remove it until I saw how it runs though the firewall. What goes through that hole on a stock car? Any one think I shouldn't just rip it out?

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Looks to me like someone had set up the car to be towed. Perhaps behind one of those eco-UNfriendly huge-ass motorhomes. That would've controlled the lights and such on the car.

Just a guess, but I'm probably not too far off of the truth.

Oh snap, I didn't think about that, but yeah it has tow points installed on the front, so the previous owners did use it for towing. Didn't even think about that!

            Yeah, I'll remove it then.

I only started doing that recently, its really much better. I find when I work on the car, at the end of the day my hands and arms feel like I rubbed fiberglass on them, like little shards are embedded in my skin. I don't know where they come from...

Also I spread grease less this way, the car has less smears and grease fingerprints on it. I also don't have to wash my hands when I'm done.

This job I specifically used them because I was removing the bumper. I didn't open the hood just to shoot these pics, this was at the end of a different job. I've been trying to be very professional with my new cb7, doing things by the book, and trying hard to remember not to touch painted surfaces, and cleaning up afterwards.

A 50 pack of nitrile gloves for $5.87 from lowes, I figured why not.

it works like no other hand cleaner.

I tried using gloves too, and they rip way too often. I work at an oil lube shop and I get oil on me all the time, I get used to it. Plus, I wipe my hands with rags all the time and that helps alot.

I have some hand cleaner in an orange bottle. It works really good, much better than regular soap, but sometimes some really deep stains take days to come out.

Not sure if I'll keep using them, but I'm trying to for the sake of professionalism and cleanliness.

The reason it looks like it is coming out of a stock hole is because that hole is for the clutch master cylinder on the manual cb7s.

Ah, good to know. I just thought I remember seeing something there on my other cb, its also an auto.

Hopefully its easy to get at from under the dash without taking any of the dash apart. That's on my to-do list.
