First, check your fluid. Then post the level and color, and we'll go from there...

transmisson prob's

trans oil level is correct...color is chartruse or pinkish.../car surges forward when started like in gear..gear selector moves freely,cable looks okay too...dash indicators light in various gear...car seems to go to freewheel when motors off

Sounds like a problem with the actual cable selector maybe its loose at the tranny?

finally got underneath to ck out shifter cable..... cable is shedded thanks for your replies
