    Bad luck with carb cleaner

I sprayed some carb cleaner into my intake and now my car jerks hard when I step on the gas or come off the gas. If I'm just riding steady it starts jerking. I dont know what is wrong.

you have to be careful with starter fluid and carb cleaner if you spray to much it can blow your engine

Let it idle out and play around with it. Depending on how much you sprayed it takes a while to get that stuff out.

I was going to use starter fluid but everyone said go buy carb cleaner to clean all the ports and stuff. It does break oil and grease down well. I was spaying it on all types of dirty parts.

Just use some high strength fuel injector/combustion chamber cleaner to clean it out good. Although the TB won't be clean, the chamber will be cleaner...

I fail to see the problem with spraying carb cleaner. fuel injection is the exact same system, except one uses complex hardware to mechanicly time fuel dilivery and the other uses a computer program.

I have used carb cleaner, sea foam, various injector cleaners/ TB cleaners, and household cleaners (DO NOT USE HOUSE HOLD CLEANERS WHILE INSTALLED ON CAR)... and my vote goes 100% to sea foam.... yeah its just hyped up carb cleaner.... but the shit works.

If you want a good clean manifold do what i did.

pull it, soak it in purple power, then throw it in your moms dishwasher while she is gone!!!
