I have a 91 ex coup man. with 198,000 and counting. My tags went outy in december but now the emissions is too high and not just a little. Like 5 times the normal. Black smoke is coming out my tail pipes so much that my back bumper is black. I change the spark plugs, put duralube fuel sys. treatment and still failed. I dont know what else to do but take it to a shop and let them bend me over and give it to me. Dont really like having that done to me the honda dealership hit me a month ago and all I need was some bushings and they tried to charge me 1400$. Anyone with the same problem solved will you please give any help.

well.. wow.. when u say ur car doing all that it remind me of a shitty ass piece of shit honda in the whole wide world.. this is what happen when u dont take care ur car. now.. maybe u said u do all that but u didnt do it right. ur gonna need a motor flush. ur gonna have to clean ur intake manifold. but wait wait. back it up. ur gonna need a whole day delicated to your car. i dont know if this a good idea. but after u tune up ur whole goddam car new intake and all that. i'm sure ur gonna improve ur MPG.. but just to think what the black smoke could b e.. i say. take ur header off.. but leave the down pipe there. then get some high pressure water. and blash down the downpipe till the water is clear comin out the muffler. dont forget to do that to ur header too! when ur done. dry the header. fuck the downpipe and the rest. install it back. give it a brandd new oil change. but wait.. take out the valve.. and clean all that shitting shit with some towel take ur time.. take ur time.. clean clean clean. then new gasket for the engine and pour good brand oil in the engine. it should be good. if not. JUNK THAT MUTHAFUCKER AND GET UR MONEY BACKComment

When ever I get some xtra money I put it into the car. I had to take care of my 91 suspension 1st. Its a 91 what do you expect. But your responce was very entertaining to me. It was the most I have laughed since I have been at work today. It was some good info sprinkled in there also. And by the way it is my fifth honda and the best 1. I have have 5th gens and a 3rd gen. 1 civic and I like this 1 the best. There are not too many manual coups out there. With all thats wrong it stills runs strong everyday, night or day, cold or hot. It needs some tlc and i going to give to her when I get some paper. The black smoke only happens when I am high in the rpms and it is from oil getting to my spark plugs .
