Royal Purple 5w-30 is the S***!!!

Have any of you ever tried this stuff? OMG I used to get like 310 or barely even 300 miles per full tank of gas on the highway, and then I used this stuff in my last oil change. The results were very surprising and pleasing, as the pics will show you. I could even notice some freed up power, because of the reduced friction, the engine was running a lot smother. Not that I have ever neglected my motor, I change my oil ever 2500 to 3000 miles. But this stuff is almost like the difference between night and day, lol. I highly recommend it, if you have the extra change, its like $7.50 a quart. Well worth it in the long run if you ask me.

I could've probly got another 15-20 miles out of it, but I was on the interstate and decided to play it safe and fill up, lol. Lemme know what you guys think and if any of you have experienced similar results.

Im tempted to try it, but its alittle expensive. Right now Im using Castrol synthetic blend its good stuff.

what i recently did was replace my fuel filter in my car and the MPG's went up incredibly. Well i also got a valve adjustment and new distributor,cap,rotor, ignitor, wires and plugs. But i did about 363.8 miles on 12.675 gallons ~ 28.69mpg on the way to Anaheim, CA from Chandler, AZ. I obviously could have gone more, my light wasn't on, but just the gauge scared me since its never accurate except for the low fuel light. On the way back from Blythe, CA to Chandler, AZ, I did 163.3 miles with 5.422gal ~ 30.11mpg! I couldn't believe it...and I have I/H/E, lowered w/17's and an AUTO trans. Thats better than the EPA ratings of 21/29 back in '93, so i must be doing something right. I was cruising at about 80mph on the way back......Oh and I use Synthetic, 5w30 but the Mobil 1 stuff

I drink royal purple for fun. Yea I use 10w30 and a wix filter from napa.

I think I am going to switch to Royal Purple, and also extend my change interval quite a bit. I think I will change at 6,000 miles, and the cost would not really increase much because of doubling the interval.

Now I just need a good filter to pair it with. I may stay with Honda filters.

I use Amsoil 5w20 and run 15k OCI with an Amsoil EA oil filter in my wagon.
I use Amsoil 0w30 and run 15k or year(whichever comes first) in my Tundra.
If you run synthetic and change your oil sooner than even 7500 miles, you're wasting money and resources.
Even my owner's manual says 7500k on dino oil and that was printed in 1993.

I get 400-430 a tank now, with 50/50 city and highway (even some hilly areas). It'd be awesome if it actually helps! I've been curious about the high-profile fluids (Royal Purple and Redline) for a while. They advertise so strongly, it makes me wonder if it's all just a gimmick.

I saw the first Duralube commercial back when I was in high school. I'm also super skeptic. Then came along Prolong & Z-Max. I never bought any of those treatments.

That changed one day when I was listening to the "Car Doctor" on his weekly radio show and he mentioned MotorSilk and said that he actually tried it in his shop and saw tremendous results. I've been listening to this guy for years and he's never really endorsed anything, but his advice is dead-on and accurate.

I ordered a bottle and decided to give it a shot. I kid u not, I saw a huge improvement (especially in city driving). It seemed like my 92 Coupe was sipping gas. I've always kept it properly maintained & tuned religiously, but since I put that bottle, my mpg have been consistent over time.

im currently using mobil 1 full synthetic but i have used royal purple in my motorcycle and it is very good oil.i may try it in the new accord.and a short story on duralube when i was younger i had a 67 ford fairlane with a built 302 in it.well we were moving from wisconsin to arizona and i had dura lube in my car well outside albuquerque new mexico something happened and i lost all my oil pressure we pulled over and my oil line for the gauge had split and sprayed all my oil out.i thought the motor was shot anyways and it was a 100 degrees outside i said screw it and we'll drive to the next town which ended up being 80 miles away we made it just fine the temp never went up.the lifters were ticking but we repaired the line filled it with oil and started it up with in a few seconds the lifters stopped ticking and it purred again i figured the bearings were toast so when we got to arizona i pulled the motor down and to my surprise there was no unusuall wear or hot spots.i havent ever really used it since but i do stand by that stuff it was crazy to see it happen and work.lol.

ive been thinking about using that royal purple stuff. but due to the fact that the oils i use now have the composites that are probaly keeping the oil leaks to a minimum(lmao) then i wont be switchin to that until i get those leask fixed.

but i have heard a whole lot of people talk about this stuff tho.

castrol syntec is the shit, ive been using it ever since i got my CB and i have put on 25000 miles and still have 177-180 psi on all cylinders for compression.

How many miles a year do you drive, if ~12k than it doesn't make sense.
I do 1 change on my truck and 2(max) on my car.
To each their own.
