was I suppose to line up the drive plate on a F22 when installing?

I recently replaced my wifes flywhell-driveplate on auto tranny, was I suppose to lign that up with something or just bolt on and install tranny with torque converter? cuzz something dont sound right in it.

no. everything seems fine but when we drive on the freeway and when we stop I can smell something burning. possibly coming out of the valve. and when I open up the oil filler cap, it smells like gas also. is their something seriously wrong? I know its not suppose to smell like that right?

I think there is a dowel there to help the alignment. But if not just bolt it on and make sure its the proper torque spec. Other than that if your smelling fuel and such is everything hooked up right? As for your problem could be something else not the trans.
