Exhaust problems and the local cops. Grrrrrr

Okay here is the deal. The local fuzz where my parents live just bought a meter to test for loud pipes. I have a dilemma as my CB7 is pretty loud and only want to replace what is needed to calm it down. My setup is as follows:

    DC-Sports Header
    eBay wanna-be catalytic converter
    2.5" stainless pipes
And last but not least the muffler is a twin loop also from eBay.

I don't have a ton of cash to throw around this time of year with raising 2 kids and paying my attorney due to my ex-wife; however at the same time I can’t afford to get a ticket from the local fuzz. Can someone tell me legitimately what is needed to get her quiet without replacing everything on the exhaust?

okay so get a real cat. does the 2.5" piping make a difference? i was also thinking of dumping the twin loop cuz it freaking scrapes on everything. was concidering a regular turbo-style muffler. i guess that would work cuz i am currently running stock and this coming spring she is getting dropped. any suggestions on the brand/style muffler? regular to make her quiet.

the 2.5 piping does make a difference, but it a resonator it will get quiet, a magnaflow muffler is very good imo, but with that twinloop, its shoudln't be too loud after the resonator

well i need her almost as close to stock that i can get...i know it will be tough with the 2.5" pipes. the fuzz is out to get me since i beat their azz in court right b4 they bought the meter. i am willing to drop the twin loop since it does drag on shit alot.....

putting on an oem cat will help the most. and get rid of most of the raspy sound.

If you get resonator that should help the sound, also get one of the Magnaflow Hi-Flo cats, that would kill down the noise some rather then the ebay straight pipe. Goodluck, fuzzies!

If I go OEM it is going to be a different size pipe. I am running 2.5" and OEM is like what 1.75". Is that going to cause any issues that I need to be made aware of? Also its not the raspy sound I am worried about. I need to get her quiet unfortunately.

They can still make that 1.75 out to a 2.5" thats what I am doing plus 36" of resonator quiets down the car damn good.
