starter belt shaking eratically! having bad luck

( POWER STEERING BELT)Ive been having bad luck with my wifes cb7. been having tranny problem know Im having belt problem. I just replaced the crank pulley and belt, know it makes tons of noise and it shakes like you wouldnt beleive. I did everything by the book according to my repair manual. I had sufficient tension but it shakes like a mofo! one thing I noticed is the belt looks a bid skinny cuzz one dof the teeth doesnt go over the belt, adn another thing is the dumb person that did teh engine swap didnt put back the starter bolt the one that went on top. so I went to home depot adn got the closest match but since one side was threadedtoo much, the lefts side is a tad bid lower about 1 mm. but could those factor maek the belt shake or do you think the crank pulley is loose?

It could be the crank pulley is loose/the rubber outside of it is goin out making it wobble/or your belt is just not aligned on the ribs of the pulley.

timing or serpentine the start has nothing to do with the belt and make sure you have the correct belt and make sure its tight

Im not sure but will a skinnier belt make it shake? because this is what the guy at the honda and acura specialist shop gave me. does it look to skinny to you becuase it does to me even on the crank pulley part, one of the rib on the pulley wasnt covered by the belt.

look down at the crank pulley? is it wobbling or have an irregular spin to it? im gonna assume the crank pulley is bolted to proper torque specs. if this IS true, the belt is the issue. the belt is the issue anyway! take it back and tell them they gave u the wrong one or u gave them the wrong info.

anyways its wrong and NOT the proper belt and can cause problems...which u are having. so yeah....get the CORRECT belt man. simple. done
