    Tranmission Oil

    What type of tranmission oil would you use in your tranny. I just installed a OBX L.S.D. unit and i am wanting to know if their is any special addive or oil i should use. like full syn or 15w40?????

    honda MTF, or if you want you can use 10w30 oil

              the part number for the honda MTF is not Syn oil it is just plain old honda MTF

                  well im using the new honda manual transmission fluid they said that its like the GM synchromesh and it works perfect for me

                    just stick some synthetic motor oil in it and use some lucas oil with it too!

                          1- Noob question agian but where is the bolt to fill the tanny (MT) I Know it's a 17mm and I konw where is the drain 'bolt'. Can someone post a pic of where to fill the tranny...

                          2- I've ask to my honda dealership for the new honda MTF and he say he don't have it (I never saw it now here in Quebec....) What else to put in ????

                            Your gonna need a 3.8 drive to open the fill bolt. Just ask honda if they have the Honda MTF in stock they should have some.

                              Some have good experience with GM or Redline. I think it depends on the transmission. Changing the tranny fluid may only be a temporary fix. It will appear later on.
