So my car got wrecked and I'm in the process of fixing it, but I have a problem.
Where the power steering reservoir and cruise control, ect is inside the engine bay has been pushed inwards so the cruise control is pushing against the power steering belt gear thing. It's not enough to cause any damage but it's causing a hellacious racket and I want it stopped. See my thread on the wreck in the Appearance section.
Can I simply disconnect and remove the cruise control? I don't use it and I can't think of a period where I will use it (besides a road trip but even then I don't like NOT having control over my vehicle, and cruise control in a manual seems kinda wierd to me anyway).
If I disconnect and remove the cruise control thingymajig, the silver pump looking deal, will it mess anything else up? Or can I just take it off and be done?
Thanks!
