    Removing cruise control? Help!

So my car got wrecked and I'm in the process of fixing it, but I have a problem.

Where the power steering reservoir and cruise control, ect is inside the engine bay has been pushed inwards so the cruise control is pushing against the power steering belt gear thing. It's not enough to cause any damage but it's causing a hellacious racket and I want it stopped. See my thread on the wreck in the Appearance section.

Can I simply disconnect and remove the cruise control? I don't use it and I can't think of a period where I will use it (besides a road trip but even then I don't like NOT having control over my vehicle, and cruise control in a manual seems kinda wierd to me anyway).

If I disconnect and remove the cruise control thingymajig, the silver pump looking deal, will it mess anything else up? Or can I just take it off and be done?

    Thanks!

when ur going to take it off, you will see a vacuum line going to it, just follow it and remove the line and plug it thats all

You'll see the vacum plug it's a 3 way plug right by the resistor box the silver box that has the 3 harnesses on it. And also on taking out the cruise control on fully removing, the line loops at the gas pedal. All you got to do is just work it out of the grove that it's on it's kinda like a light switch to me. ON the vacum plu I just loop it together. Hope that helps you out bro and sorry about your car! Also forgot follow the line and the black peice on the firewall kinda twist it to get it to come out.

Alright I got the thing off, and I see two hoses. One is really big and it was plugged into a hole that was underneath the cruise control. The other was a tiny little hose on an orange nipple.

WHich one do I plug, and how do I plug it? Can I use duct tape or something? lol.

little one. To plug you can use anything that would regularly plug a hole, ie screws, caps, wood.
