    Strange noise....

At certain rpms when accelerating, my engine, or something else under the hood, vibrates with a metal on metal sort of buzzing sound. usually it happens right before the car shifts. I know it could be anything, but has anyone else has this problem, and could save me some time?

I tried the heat shield, its on tightly, and i tried the valve covers.... oh, and it doesnt make the noise if im in neutral when reving... so yeah.. and i have an automatic.

    what could it be?
    exhaust? help me please!

Check your heat shield on the exhaust manifold. Mine did that too, and then I tweaked it, and the saound went away. after that, i replaced the manifold with a header.

dont forget the heat sheild for the cat and the exhuast pipe. Usually stock honda down pipe are twin pipes, if the inside pipe broken lose it could be that too.

I had a rattling noise on deceleration mostly. It was the exhaust manifold heat shield. The bolts on mine were also tight, but the bottom one wasn't actually putting pressure on the shield. I put some liquid metal filler behind the head of the bolt, and the noise has been gone since.
