    checking for spark

As my memory fails me in my old age from time to time, what's the easiest (and safest) way to check for spark? Pull a spark plug wire and hold it 1/2"off a fender and see if a spark jumps?

    Diff't suggestions or comments?

you could stick a screwdriver in there and hold it to a ground, safest way is to get a spark tester from like autozone for like 5 bucks

stick a plug in the wire and ground it on the valve cover

Straighten a paper clip except for one loop which I stick into the spark plug wire terminal and put the end 1/4 inch away from the engine ground or spark plug connection.

Stick your tongue at the plug when you pull it out. You will know when you got spark =P. But in reality just use a screwdriver or a plug as mentioned easiest methods.

stick your finger in the plug. I think you'll know if theres spark or not.

I pulled a plug wire and held it close to a ground on the valve cover, and had a helper crank the engine.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
