    Apex i-Dunk Muffler vs. DC

Hey i was just wondering. I know the more you spend on a muffler, the nicer the sound. Ie: deeper, fuller tone.

A buddy at work has a DC muffler, which sounds amazing to me. It costs $225 for just the muffler. I know thats about mid-grade as far as prices go for performance mufflers.
A lady has a brand new Apex i-Dunk universal muffler, for $250. I know nothing about apex.
I've heard the DC muffler, and I really like it. It's really deep, and I think it would fit my ride well.
What are your takes on the Apex one? Are they reputable? I am at school right now, and cant post pics right now. Based on the price, and the size of it, is there any way to predict what it might sound like?
Description: Apex-i stainless steel finish Dunk Series Muffler.
    Dimensions:Length=66cm/Tip=41cm/Canister=64cm/Inlet=24cm.

because really, I want a really deep sounding muffler, thats not incredibly loud and rice.
    Thanks.

I've heard that the dunk is loud, but that might just be a rumor aroudn the internet. If you like the DC that much, I would go with that. Apex'i is an excellent company, I'm running their World Sport 2 system right now and love it, but its designed to be quiet. The Dunk isn't designed to be quiet.

That's still a lot of money either way for a universal muffler, considering you should be able to get the World Sport or a full DC catback for not too much over $450 and then you get quality mandrel piping.

The dimensions on your muffler is wrong, btw. There's no way its a 41 cm tip (that's something like 16 inches).

i figured as much. I copied the demensions that the seller posted. I guessed that 41 was too long. But, still, the muffler is rediculously large.
