    !HELP! H22 Transmission problem... bent fork, bad sync, etc. !HELP!

    Well, i had a shop tear apart my tranny today and they found out why i can not get into reverse. The 5th gear sync was worn, hub and sleeve (not sure if thats what he said on the phone), and the fork was bent. My other syncs showed signs of wear as well...

    Well, I was wondering what you think my best options are. I called gearspeed and a sync set was 275 from them. If i get the half set (3,4,5) then its like 150. I was wonderin how much the 2nd gear sync runs from Honda... also what about the fork and the other parts? Should I find a donor tranny? HELP, i wanna get my car rollin again!

      i dunno....h22 tranny seems a lil pricey dont u think....then swap the quaife, etc....

        lee, by the time you get your tranny to where you want it, it would have been smarter just to buy a tranny with lsd in it. and less work for you.

                im leaning towards putting the quaife in the h23 and then buildin up the h22 with gearspeed....tho i dunno if i can fund that....

                    well the tranny was not a h23....so


                    i ordered the 5th gear sleeve set, shift fork, and gear-speed coated 1-5 syncro set....this better be worth it

                    i actually found out that the bend fork was common on some of the h22 trannys and it was a manufacter defect...
