right way to time a car? ahh

okay so i got a nice 80$ Craftsman advanced timming light with the dial on it. I hooked it up set it to 15* and shot the light through. i didnt see any red mark but i see a little indent on the flywheel thats white. People are telling me to line that up or line up the red line. IDK becuase i dont even see one.

Can someone help? i need acar dammit

Look at your old post : http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=54874 , then scroll down to post #16. The flywheel should have engravings just like that. If you can't see them, slowly turn the crankbolt while spraying some brake cleaner down the timing hole. A flashlight will help too. Then take wite-out pen (available at Staples) and mark the etched line with it.

BTW, everyone has said you don't need a timing light with the "advance" feature. A regular light with a bright bulb should do the trick.
