I have a f22a4 and it runs great except for one problem. I just replaced the egr valve and everything else seems to be running fine until now. My car stutters when I step on the gas. it is fine just driving but when it comes time to go fast it won't. I thought it would be the egr valve so i replaced it but now it sucks driving because I lose all of my races because of it. do you think it would be my plugs and wires? if not what is it. please resolve my dilemma.

A hesitation like this can be caused by plugged EGR PORTS. They have to be drilled out, cleaned, and have new caps put in. Takes an experienced tech a couple of hours to do. It can also be caused by a failing igniter or coil. Just depends on the symptoms.Visit us at http://www.valleyspecialists.com for all of your Honda and Acura service needs!

it may be fuel related too..fuel filter...i have a guy that im working on right now who has that problem. we are putting in a new fuel filter tomorrow just to see if that helps. if not we are going to clean out the egr ports...he changed cap/rotor/sparks and many other things. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

is the fuel filter able to be cleaned out?I have tried but i don't know if it worked. i am going to get new plugs and wires to see if that helps if not what does someone charge to clean the egr ports out? my new egr valve seems to be running fine so I hope the problem is the cap, rotor, plugs and wires.

i have drove about 10 miles since i reset the ecu and i checked it. the code 15 is gone but i just replaced my egr valve and the code still is flashing. it is code 12 and it deals with the egr system. i thought the system was the egr valve but i guess i was wrong. what else is involved with the egr system? is it the egr ports you were talking about? if so can i do it myself or should i get a mechanic to do it? will it improve throttle response? that is the big problem is throttle response.

Of course you can do it your self, bu it is something that you have to be very precise, and you'll need the new EGR Port Plugs to put back in after you clean. We charge less than $200 for parts an labor.Visit us at http://www.valleyspecialists.com for all of your Honda and Acura service needs!
