ECU question

This is for any one with ECU programing experience. Right now my vtec is not working because my swap didnt come with the vtec oil pressure switch. I heard somewhere that you could get a chipped ecu and program it not to check for it...so that the ecu doesnt go into limp mode and disable the vtec and have the rev limiter at 6500. Any one here anything about this and can it be done?

i don't think they can do that for vtec since it runs off oil pressure, just buy one fron honda for 65 bucks.

i think your thinking of the knock sensor or egr, and thats the p28, of p72

As he said above me. Go buy an oil pressure switch. The ECU will look for the oil pressure switch there is no way to omit it unless maybe you throw a non vtec ecu on there but that would be pointless.

Yeah.. what they said. Easiest and safest way is to buy the switch and wire it directly into the ECU.
