The info is around deev, any accord internal coil will work in it, so if you have a spare try it, samething with the ignitor i believe. Cap pretty much any accord internal cap 90-93 dont know about the new gens, or the 99-00si cap, and i think that internal coil might work to. Distributor king out of canada sells jdm distributors for a reasonable price if you want a new one, like below 2oo hun i think

That's not too bad... I thought they were in the $400 range.

I went to the junkyard yesterday... ALL of the 90-91 dizzys were gone (like 5 of them...) I have an external coil one coming back to me from patastinky (he didn't need it). I may try to bastardize that and make a working external coil setup.

x2, this is very easy to do. F22 dizzys are dime-a-dozen so just grab one that matches your coil setup, int. or ext., and swap the TD5x-U guts into your TD6x-U dizzy. All you need are basic tools, a crowbar, and something to anchor the old dizzy onto (an old head you can throw on the ground works great). A Chilton's book will tell you that anything other than the ICM is non-user servicable but this is a lie. You just need to pry the midplate off the dizzy shaft (there is a bearing pressed on the shaft which is screwed to the plate) to access the pickups.

Now fix it and stop putzing around having other people look at your damn car!!

I'm a retard when it comes to electrical stuff like that...

Either way, I have to get it out of Maaco. At the dealership, I can have it looked at to ensure I'm going after the right problem. Once I KNOW it's the dizzy... or the fuel pump... or the main relay... or whatever... I can try my best.

If it comes to rebuilding the dizzy, you had better believe I'll be on here asking for step by step help! Things like that don't usually make sense to me. I look at the internals and say "stuff"... I don't always grasp their function right away. Not knowing what something does, how it does it, and why it's important is a major hinderance when trying to fix something!

Just got my old dizzy back today... the car is 30 minutes away at my stepdad's dealership, and I work damn near every day.

I'm waiting for a replacement JDM dizzy from lucid. It'll be easiest to just swap that over and see if that's the problem. Then, if that doesn't work, I'll go for the internals. If that doesn't work... well... I'll cry.

If a known good H22 dizzy doesn't work then why would replacing the internals of your existing dizzy help any?

If that dizzy works, don't buy it. Send it back to him and get a working F22 dizzy that matches your coil setup. Then give me food/beer, and I'll come down and do the internal swap I talked about before. Works PERFECT. An H22 around here has been running it for 6 weeks flawlessly.

I basically bought it for a backup... it's not an easy thing to come by, and a working dizzy for $40 shipped sounded good to me. I can always sell it for more if I need to!

That is a fuckin' steal for a good TD60-U.

Yeah, that's why I jumped on it. Even if it's not in great shape, it'll be good to have spare parts to work with.
