    Tranny slippin' after gauges install?

Last week I installed black reverse gauges on my '95 Camry. My speedo doesn't work now and my transmission slips. For some reason the "o/d off" light flickers on/off and I guess it's telling the tranny to switch between 4 gears and 3? The few times i've driven the car since with the o/d button on the car sometimes won't shift into 2nd until 6k rpms. The car seems to drive normal with the o/d button off but I'm wasting more gas that way and it seems like the cars struggling. Is this something associated with the o/d wire or is this a coincidence and my tranny's just going. There's only 68K on the clock so I think it might just be a wiring problem. What do you guys think caused this? I know this is a CB7 forum but no one seems to care enough to respond on the other forum I frequent. Thanks in advance.
