Can an improperly set tps make you lose power?

So I am beginning to think that maybe I am losing some power due to an improperly set tps.

I have the a6/h23 hybrid intake mani witha bored h23 tb. Anyone have an idea what I should set it at? I have it at .45 now, but I see some people setting it at .32. My idle isn't messed up or anything I just figured that I might not be getting the right fuel/air mixture. My a/f gauge does read rich a lot of the time and at idle will bounce from lean to rich.

    Any thoughts?

Yes it will cause you to shoot a code the ecu will be like hmm wtf goin on then shoots off a cel and then youll be in limp mode which will then make you lose power.

Just because your the CEL # 7 for TPS goes on, does not mean you'll necessarily go into limp mode. Well, not on my chipped P06 ECU, as I have received this code and it does not appear to affect drivability but it annoying.

However, improperly set TPS will cause a change in drivability. Mine was .15V off from the 0.45V nominal position on my bored H23 TB that was "supposedly" set correctly.

So you have yours set at .45, Or lower?

I am just wondering if this is really a big thing or if its probably more complicated than that.

Oh well back to the drawing board.

I am begining to think I need to tighten my belts. All this crap started right after doing a timing belt swap and my regular belts, and one of my belts does squeek sometimes so.....keep ya posted.
