Something else is wrong. Review your install and make sure everything is connected up properly. You probably disconnected the ABS pickup for the drivers side front.

hmmm

is this in the wheel well? as far as the check engine light all i can think about is the o2 sensor.. but if something was wrong with it would the car be driving?

No it's the orange connector on the resistor box.
