i quickly need to know what to do for h22a ecu

yo i am having a mechanic swap my h22 into my h23 si and he ran into a prob hooking up (pinning in) a few wires to the ecu the guy says there are an A and D that are occupied already and doesn't know how to address that. does he just snip and pin or what? thanks to anyone that can give me and answer!
