we did it! me and my friends put in the cams right(big deal 4 me) but now the belt is way too tight and it slips off and starts to rub on the valve cover/side plastic piece. Is there a way to fix that without going thru all the trouble and messing with the tensioner?

You HAVE to retension it everytime you remove the belt. If not, goodbye. -
yup, gotta re-do the tension...I'm surprised you even got the belt back on there and in perfect time without loosening it in the first place!

well from what i can tell the tensioner is almost gone cause the belt had a good amount of play before we swapped em... im just excited we pulled it off...But I'm still payin, so she still a ho. So, if the belt is anywhere over say 30k on it, swap it and the tensioner.Gary A.K.A. Carter
