    Head difference

when i did my timing belt job i purchased a used head at the junk yard i asked for a 90-93 accord head they gave me a 95 (f22b non vtec) i inspected itt andf it looked identicall to my original ... i put my old cam of the original head, put it back together and my power band is deffinatly different. i have power from 3200 to 5200 rpm (very short in my opinion) i used to have power at much lower around 2500. the car is also lost power (even at the previosly stated rpms) i walked my friends integra befor the head swap now he leves me like if he had turbo ( his car is still the same as when we raced before)

so my question is can the difference in head design be causing my power loss ???

    by the way i have a 91 ex with a f22a4 ...

The head is a different design. The Intake and Exhaust manifolds are different. As for the inside composition im not sure. Why didnt you just use the F22B2 camshaft?

i striped the screwws on the rocker to ajust the valves so i changed the rocker and the cam too so they would match (not that it would mater )

by the way the intake and exhaust manifolds fit on their perfict no modification ...

the only thing i can think is that they did give me the right head and they labeled it wrong cause it was labeled 95 accord when given to me ....

that would mean my problem is some were else ...

You sure you adjusted the valves right and to spec?

Yeah Nail I thought the same as you. What color was the valve cover? If you didn't already know then your valve adjustments should be .01" on the intake valves and .012" on the exhaust valves. Are you experiencing any valve train noise?

no i did not ajust the valves ... valve cover was black like my old one ... so valve ajustment would cause power loss???

yah if not timing then something related to it. Or maybe even a vacuum leak or a bad set of valves on the new head.

your not serios right ??? of corse not timing and balance belts are new so was the head, intake, exaust, egr, valve cover and oil pan gasket too. i also have new plugs wires dizzy and internal dizzy parts are new also ... ive checked my timing many times just to be sure, i also set the dizzy timing with an ajustable timing gun its set at 16 degrees ... seting the valves is the only thing i havent done. its just wierd i guess ...
