Possible timing issues from milled head?

Well 1st off, i have an F22A6 and i got my head milled 45 thouands or .045... compression is ~9.5:1... compression check exibits 195-200 accross the board... when i 1st replaced the timing belt, i set everything at TDC... Crank at TDC, cam at TDC piston 1 and set the balance shaft and oil pump. Read on a diff thread (http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...=milled+timing) that timing needed to be advanced 1 degree per every .012 shaved off the head... i accordingly set my cam timing 4 degrees advanced... engine would start, but would stutter and jump like crazzzyyyyy, and no matter how far to each side i flipped the dizzy, i couldnt see anywhere near the 15 degree mark on the flywheel... i could only line her up with the TDC mark, which is fuckin wierd.... i experimented, i set the cam at TDC piston 1 and set the crank at 15 degrees BTDC to see how she reacts... she runs beautifully... thought it was extremely wierd, but hey, she ran and i got the timing dead on balls accurate by turning the dizzy allllll the way towards the front of the motor as much as she would go... shes been running beautifully till this day....

so to my initial issue... i have a custom turbo setup which is tuned with uberdata by me and SoySauce and at 1st, i had my rev limiter set at about 6000 to keep myself safe.... after a good base tune, i tried to crank up the rev limiter to about 6800 so i could open her up a lil more... she NEVER goes past 6000... its like she hits a fuel cut/ rev limiter... I'm GUESSING it has to do with the timing not being fully TDC, but i dunno.. i even rewrote a diff. bin. with the 6800 rev limit on a couple diff chips and switched em up and same thing! any ideas as to how i could at least get the timing propper without stuttering or bogging? and preffereably also how i could fix this ghost rev limiter issue?

All help is verry much appreciated... thanks in advance guys... and as always, sorry for the long drawn out post...

Are you just estimating what you turned the crank or did you use a degree wheel? Your timing sounds the same as just retarding the cam 7.5 degrees which would probably be safer because it allows the tuner(yourself included) to read exactly where the timing is set not just reading TDC on the cam gear when it actually isn't.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

You've got the dist. timing retarded as far as you can manually retard it. Sounds like the cam timing is advanced too much. The advanced cam timing is preventing you from hitting the higher revv's. If you want to tune with uber get that straight and start off with factory spec timing and work from there. It has nothing to do with the bin file at this point and everything to do with your cam timing.

No i dont have a degree wheel, simply turned the dizzy till my 15*BTDC mark was in spec w/ the notch onm the trans... i knew it was half assed and not quite the right way, but i was plannin on it being only temp. to get her running and back on the road, and as temprary things go, she never really got fixed the right way lol... Okay Acclude, i'll give her a try and get back with resul...ts.... Thanks for the help guys...

Okay, final update... you can deff blame my stupidity and my tendency to rush for the forthcoming statements... 1st off, the mark on the flywheel i was looking at for TDC, was NOT TDC... i was deff a good 15* PAST 15* BTDC... WOW was i off!!!! what a retard right! so i found my CORRECT TDC mark and got her situated... i THEN realized that how i stated in the 1st post that i read with a shaved head, to advance cam timing, Well, i deff retarded it 4* instead of fucking advancing it!! BIG UPs to my atention to detail!!! hahahaha! SOOOO i sat that at the correct 4* ADVANCED (not retarded this time) and aligned that bitcho with my CORRECT TDC mark, and as they say VIOLA!!! i hit it a bit and got her to 6800 easily, not that i will be reving that high on the stock block continuously, but i just wanted to make sure i got it right this time lolol... thanks a whole hell of a lot for the feedback guys, i probly would have looked over both of those aspects if i did not realize to go back and double and triple check my specs...
