Vibration at 80mph NOT alignment or tires

Well my problem started when i was coming back from an autox. When i get up to about 80 the car just starts vibrating so bad the coins in my door look like there about to jump out. It only dose this when i accelerate. It did not do this on the way up there and since then iv had an alignment done, changed both axles and put 3 different sets of tires on the front trying to fix this. Anyone got an idea of whats up with this.

have you thought that maybe sumthin in the tranny is not right? are you sure its your front end? might be from the back...or warped rim...i dont know

couldn't see how something in the rear could vibrate the car so violently. If it was the transmission i would imagine that it would do it all the time and not just at around 80 and only when accelerating. I used different rims on each of the 3 sets of tires also.

well crap i have another autox next Sunday and i have to drive over an hour to get there so going under 80 is going to kill me. The problem is probably going to affect my car during the event too. Iv had 2 different Honda techs look at it and iv gone over all the nuts and bolts so I'm clueless.

I do have a small fluid leak coming from the tranny but i cant tell where its is coming from somewhere up front but its not bad enough that i would think it would be the problem.

A vibration big enough to rattle the change compartment, im thinking cv joints. also, get up to 80 and disengage the clutch and see if it still does it

The Honda tech thought it was CV joint also but the drivers side has only bean in there since October and i just replaced the passenger side today. it doesn't do it when i push in the clutch only when accelerating.

All bushing are ES urethane bushings and are only 2 years old and look good. Both upper ball joints have bean replaced. Driver side was replaced last year passenger side was a couple weeks ago. The lower ball joints look good only passenger side has a tear in the boot. Also had tech look at everything when i had it aligned Monday.

That new Honda Fit is starting to look nicer every day lol.

It doesn't vibrate the hell out of you on the highway. It would probably be a better autox car too. I wouldn't trade my car for it but id be tempted if there was a spec-D available.

try your steering rack.. have much play?

I replaced mine, and its been a bit better.

It would do it only at highway speeds and accelerating. Then worked down to whenever i was over 70... finally did it anywhere over 50 no matter what.

It is still there a little bit, but I am assuming tie rods might be done since I had to drive with a pretty bad wobble to the NC meet and back...

SO is the vibration comin from the front or the back?

there is a couple of things that could be bad.

1.rack outer arms could be bad and it tends to kill the allighment
                              2. if you have bad motor mounts it could vibrate when you accelerate
3.or your axles are bad, and if you have bad motor mounts it tends to brake the driver side axles.

good luck and hope this helps.
