ok just last month my cruise control work now when i set it, it wont come on. any one else have this problem, also what are some faulty pieces in this system, i heard it has a relay

ok the green light comes on in the button, then i hit set but it doesnt hold the speed, and i no u have to be goin ova like 40mph for it to work and i was like at 80mph but it doesnt kick in

When I bought my CB7, it had the same problem -- the CC lights came on (both the button and the dash light) but it didn't actually do anything.

I didn't give it much thought because I rarely use Cruise Control. Until...

Months later, my VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) started going bad and throwing CEL code 17. I replaced the VSS and the next time I started my car... Cruise Control worked.

Have you been having any problems with your VSS? That could be it. My cruise control didn't work even when my VSS appeared to be working fine but once I swapped in a new VSS, it was golden.

first, check all fuses

then if nothing, it's either your cruise control unit outside under your hood (maybe it's not holding a vacuum and therefore can't hold the throttle) or it's your little cruise ecm under the dash........the auto versions are known for going bad......you'll need another from an auto if you wanna try swapping it out........i'd try that and if it doesn't fix it, then i'd go ahead and buy a cb7 with h22a and sell that piece of shit to someone else

I would also check the diaphragm leading to the CC unit in the engine bay. Once after some work by a reputable mechanic, where the CC unit was removed, the rubber diaphragm had gotten loose. Once I slipped it back into place, I had CC again.

I'm having this same problem but what i'm thinking now is... in My car i have a F22B and prelude tranny. So i'm using the Prelude speed sensor it may not be compatible with Cruise Control. Anyone have any idea on this?

My dad's CB9's cruise control stopped working, and I was told to check if the brake and clutch sensor thingys (at the pedals) were out of adjustment, as the cruise control wont engage if there is any input from the clutch or brake.

Get up to speed, and then put your feet underneath the clutch (if you have 5spd) and brake pedals and pull up as you try to set the cruise control.

If it now works, you've found your problem. Adjusting it, on the other hand, is another thing.

Mine just did the same thing today .. and I dunno wtf ..
It was working fine last week .. Light on switch works fine .. light on dash
works as well .. I can step on the gas when the green light is on .. on the dash, but
when I do that .. the light on the dash goes out .. wtf ?

nah my car been down for a month now need a engine but i will try it when i get the new one in, maybe he can find something when he puts the new engine in, ill let u know
