***NEED some GUIDANCE, PIC of BAD leak***

I'm not sure if I'm being an alarmist, but I have no clue wtf this is, besides thinking oil leaking from the cover, it appears mostly dry, but some is still moist and sort of crusty in texture. It is leaking from the area where the arrows are pointing to, in between the heat shield and the valve cover. Any ideas? Please respond if you can help. Thanks. (sorry for the crappy pic, my camera sucks)

        just replace it.

It is only like 12 bucks, and takes a matter of minutes to do.

Just get a number 10 socket, remove the 8 or so nuts, put new gasket on, then replace the 10 nuts.

Just DON"T tighten the nuts TOO much. Go half a turn after slightly snug.

        NO BIGGIE.

IT will only damage your engine if you loose LOTS of oil(which i doubt) but it probably will start to smell cause of the burning oil.

JUST REPLACE IT. NO BIG DEAL.
        Noobie my ASS.

if the gasket blows then oil will be squirted all over your engine bay...it happened to me after i had just completely cleaned my engine bay a couple days prior. Get some rtv red high temp silicone from your local auto store and put a thin bead of that between the head and new valve cover gasket

thats about the easiest thing to replace on a car,fet one take out the 4 10 mm bolts, replace the gaskets, and the 4 sprak plug o ring gaskets that come with it,its cake.just do it when the engines cold becuase if you over tighten them bolts when the engines hot you will snap the post.

Aahh... Don't forget to replace the Tube Seals too, and washers aren't a bad idea either... I'll ship out a whole set (Gasket, tube seals, and washers) to anyone who wants them for $15. OEM.
