Now, i was considering changing the timing a bit for some more umph.. now somone told me either i can get High end power, or low end power.. now is there now way to get some type of a midpoint with more high and low power? what would this need to be done correctly, just have somone who knows what theyre using with a timing light, cus i dont want to just rotate the dist and ghetto rig. i want a stable, safe and reliable mod.. is that even possible.. i want more of a kick off the line, along with some more kick in high end.

Seems like internet dyno plots and peak whp numbers are really starting to influence people's views...
Advancing or retarding the timing via the distributer really shifts the powerband around.... it is quite noticeable...but if you are looking for an all around general gain both high and low...just leave it stock...or advance/retard just slightly depending on whether you want a lil more top or low end...
If you are tuning via this method, you really have to be aware of how you are trying to tune your powerband and be prepared to make sacrifices in less important areas...
Now when you start delving into the ECU you can really control specific areas that need tweaking and get good all around gains...RIP Lifsatrip7

I'd say you have the answers though xplode...Retard it a degree or 2 if you want a little more up top and advance it a degree or 2 if you want a little more down low... otherwise set it at the stock 16 degrees and call it a day...
but just fyi: I've had mine fully advanced at the dizzy running the OEM PT3 ECU and noticed zero pinging on 89 octane....it did seem to lose a lot of power up high though.... and I didn't really tackle any major hills or anything to see if it would ping...
that anecdote was wholly subjective so take it for what it's worth...just letting you know that your motor will not blow up or be damaged or anything if you mess with the timing a little...in case that's what you are worried about.RIP Lifsatrip7
