    Possibly O2 Sensor?

Ok, my car has been a pain in my ass for the last 2 months now. It won't accelerate worth a damn after its warmed up. Today I unplugged the O2 sensor from its harness and it still drove the same when warmed up. Am I supposed to notice a difference between when the oxy sensor is plugged in or unplugged?

not to much, but it causes the engine to run in ''loop'' mode. and if your O2 sensor is bad it will give a CEL. later.

Well do you know if an O2 sensor will lean out a system to the point where it pings on acceleration. I'm thinking its one of the systems that works when warm like EGR, IAC, or the O2... I never have problems when the car is cold.

It won't be your O2 you will definately get a MIL (tired of the CEL b.s.) from an O2

Well I think it had a code 1 before. But i reset the battery so i donno. I'm just wondering if an O2 sensor could lean it out that much.

how many miles on your car? is your IAC valve screen clean? another possibly is your engine coolant temperature sensor is going bad? or vaccum hose/gasket leak?

if he had a vacuum leak he would probly know, maybe. cause it would idle funny.

it could be that tho cause my vacuum hose to my intake was off by mistake and i felt a lag in acceleration.

is ur car an ex by any chance?

My car is a 91 LX, Auto, 130k miles. I cleaned out my IAC valve about 3 months ago. I was thinking it could be along the lines of thermostat or coolant temp sensor, but its not running hot anymore since I bled the coolant. The gauge hasn't gone over half way.

................ Have you checked your compression? Just because it feels like your car is lagging doesn't mean it's running lean.........
