Do not forget a valve lash inspection/adjustment ==> every 15,000 miles.

This will make a HUGE difference, possible as much as all the others combined.

while doing a tune up its a good thing to check brakes as well, most shops do anyways:

-brake fluid flush use #3 brake fluid
while your at it check all your brakes for ware and possible replacement, if you have hard vibration while braking you may want to get your rotors and drums turned or buy new ones depending on the condtion of each....rotors are about $24 each, rear shoes $14 (+ $7 for spring set), Pads $17, drums probably little more then rotors, all those are ~ prices, i just replaced all new pads shoes and rotors on a civic and it ran about $75...

also, PCV valve replacement, gap the spark plugs, clean the IACV and any other ports on the IM.

Yeah if you're looking for performance go with OEM. Although its not performance per say it's not going to do you any good going with high dollar (Performance) aftermarket unless you have other BIG modifications done to your engine.

It is not necessary to replace the PCV valve if it passes inspection.

With the car idling and a pair of pliers, pinch off the hose that runs from the PCV valve to the intake plenum. If clicks when you pinch the hose off, then it is still good and does not need replacement.

If you look in your owner's manual or shop manual, they will have the maintenance schedule in there. Simply choose the service that corresponds to your mileage (a 90,000 mile rotation, with increments of 15,000 miles) and make sure you clean/replace/inspect all items on the list.

Also make sure you read the special notes and conditions, to see if you qualify as "severe" driving. If you do, it will bump the water pump/timing belt/balancer belt interval to every 60,000 miles. It may also affect some of the fluid change intervals.

is it not part of preventative maintenance like replacing spark plugs, etc sure you could leave it in for 100k but the part is cheap enough why not change it.
