disabling fuel system for compression check?

what do you pull to diable the fuel system becuase the haynes manual says pull the fuel pump fuse but i think they mean the main relay but i really dont know, so if n e could shed a little more light on the situation i'd appreciate it

p.s. i've tried the search button, so dont worry this is my last resort i usually dont post a thread unless i really need to

Just pull the ECU fuse. Its a 10amp under the hood. Really easy

I just left mine in. You could smell all the gas. Only spontaneously combusted once :P

taking the ecu fuse out also cancels the spark
