"Leaking" Dark green grease (axle?) and some metal banging over bumps

this post is in reference to my passenger side front wheel. Ever since i got some lug bolts replaced, the area around the axle and CV area is covered in this green grease, is this axle grease? and why might it be exiting / leaking . . .is something failing or about to fail?

also on this same side before my suspension upgrade/replacement and after when ever i go over a bump with a bit of speed especially a speed bump, i get this metal to metal type knocking-banging noise and it only happens on this corner of the car

also might any of these problems affect why my car might sit a lil lower on this corner, i am on some used springs but was wondering if these problems might be affecting.

anyone have any ideas about what is wrong with this corner of my car?

any help will be greatly appreciated!

PS. driving has not been affected whatsoever with these apparent problems. drives like there is nothing wrong exept for the banging noise.

Look under and see if the boot is ripped thats the easiest way to make sure it is axle grease. It sounds like it by the way you stated the location. As for your suspension when you installed it did you reinstall all the bushings and stuff?? Sometimes if you forget the strut tower bushing you can hear metal to metal contact. Can you simulate the metal to metal contact by bounce testing it?

everything is visably intact, no rippage. also i did install everythingback with the suspension upgrade, and no i cannot recreate noise in a bounce test

The banging could be your control arm hitting the inner fender?

I had a banging once, my front sway bushings were worn away. Replaced them, tightened then to remove the gap(s). That took care of that for me.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

It's grease from your CV joints for sure. Were they replaced recently?

I'd take that wheel off and do a complete visual of the CV joint. It could have a split in one of the folds that you can't see. Run your hand all the way around it and kinda move the boot around to see if you can find a tear.

yeah def sounds like CV joint, give it a good inspection, look around all area's of the boot, if you got the $ just replace it......

Im pretty sure its the cv joint just run your hand around it and check the corners cuz sometimes installing the boot might have ripped because of the type of clamp they use (happened to me). Also as mentioned check your sway bar bushing for the clunk if its only if you go over bumps as someone mentioned those could cause a clunking noise.

                      Does it look like this:

If so, then yea it's axle grease.
