Bumper lights DIY screwed up PLEASE HELP

Ok, first off I thought of this the other day(not knowing others had done it already) My car is a 91' and it has 2 green wires and one blackwire on the bumper light. Ne way it worked fine for like 20 secs. then I THINK i heard a click and all the signals stopped working. that was a fuse but now when my lights are turned off the corner light that blinks on the side that I hooked up to the bumper lights(pass. side) is always on its a lil dimmer than normal and the one on the other side(drivers side)is very dim. If i turn the lights on they all turn on fine except the pass. side is dimmer than the rest of them and the turn signal is barely even noticable. The drivers side is completly normal. anyone know WTF the deal is? and why do I have 2 green wires? I'm kinda getting tired of people telling me my lights are on and its somewhat embarrising saying "yeah, I know their messed up"

    Please help me!

it's probably a wiring problem or a jacked up relay

i dunno maybe it's suposed to be that way. are you sure one of them doesn't have little silver stripes on it or are they both solid green?

is this the diy you were trying to do?:

The diy bumper light conversion. I was lookin at my car one night and thought how cool it would look with the bumper lights working as running lights also. But, I did not know people had already been doing it before I thought of it.

          even with the car off?

Yes when my car is off and lights all off the pass side light is fairly bright but not quite as bright as it is supposed to be when it they are turned on. and the drivers side light is really dim but, still on. Its only the 2 turn signal lights in the corner light. ......Then when I turn them on the drivers side is perfectly fine but the pass. side is dimmer then the rest of the lights, it doesnt get any brighter then it is when the lights are off.

it's probably a wiring problem or a jacked up relay

I checked the relay and no appearance problems I tried to just replace it anyway but, the autozone up the street didnt have it or something. So, I tried cutting off both of the plugs and replacing them with ones I got from the junkyard the other day but they still are the same

i dunno maybe it's suposed to be that way. are you sure one of them doesn't have little silver stripes on it or are they both solid green?

No, on the pass. side, there is 1 black wire and 2 green w/ yellow stripes. on the drivers side there is 1 black and 2 green w/ blue stripes. My car is a 91' 4-dr if that makes a diff.

Yes, it is but, as I said earlier I did not know that other people had already been doing this. I just found this out when I started searching to see if anyone had this problem before.

well, like i said, it sounds like a wiring problem. you are grounded out somewhere and getting constant voltage to the corner light. just reverse what you did. the bumper light coversion requires changing the bulb socket, as you have probably read already. later.

I switched it back as soon as it screwed up. and yes I do now see I need to switch the socket. How do I findout where its grounded out? leme guess I have to trace the wires all through the harness until I find it? This F'n sucks. Thanks for everyones help. I'm still open to suggestions. Is it possible that the relay is messed up still though? or would it be visably burned or something?
