    Manual transaxle

OK im an idiot, but with the manual transaxle (transmission) it says to add just regular motor oil, correct? i have been using valvoline in every car i've owned and swear by it (motor not the transmission). since my transmission has 196k miles on it should i use the maxlife motor oil (high mileage)? could i use sythetic? what is a good weight to use? thanks, please keep bashing to a minimum.

That was recommended in early 90's and now they make the Honda mtf specifically for your transmission.

Usually i just use honda MTF. They say you can use 5w30 or 10w30 oil also. IM not sure which one.
