AUTO: 3.1k RPM at 70 mph?

Since the new engine was dropped into my car, (stock f22a) I've been running 3.1k rpm on the freeway at 70 mph, this seems abnormally high to me but it has been a while since I've taken my car onto the freeway. What rpm are you guys coasting at 70? (Searched couldn't find anything to this subject.)

                I know I run 2k at 50, I don't cruise the highway on a regular basis though.

Remember, auto is 4 gears instead of 5 so I don't know if 5 spds are supposed to be at the same rpm as autos.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

tire size has alot to do with it as well.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

no car will really be the same, ex and lx auto trannys have different final drives and 5 speed lx and ex have different gears and final drives, tires make a difference too. You can have 205.50 15s on one car and the same on another but just a different brand and the speed and R's will be different. So there is a lot in judging speed to rpms you can't just go by other cars. Hey if you don't like 3100 at 70 try almost 5k at 80 in my GSR, gas milage on the freeway is unheard of in this ricer.
