Jerky kick when I take my foot off throttle

dont you have a chipped p28? it could definitly be your tune

i do... havent changed anything on the engine/car though, could it still need to be re-tuned? Mine was originally done in March/April of last year.

Yes, it's a chipped P28. I'm running basicly a JDM P13 basemap...if it was in the tune, where would it be?

Yeah, its not the driver since mine also just started doing it. I changed fuel filter, i'll see if it makes a difference in the AM. Does by any chance your car while high idling cold in the morning drop the idle for a split second and then get back to going? mine does. guess we'll see.

Mine revs up to like 2200 RPMs or so, drops to like 500, then back up, back down, etc., until it warms up some. Only does it when the motor's cold. My engine's stock; it's only been rebuilt and eBay short ram intake.

ahh, no mine does it once. I throw an o2 sensor code when i bog gears for a while (stop and go traffic), but I dont think the ECU reads the o2 sensor.. or it wasnt set to, so i dunno.

Oh, do you mean like, if the engine thinks you're about to stall out, it feeds itself some fuel and revs up a little? Yeah, mine does that, but the thing I don't like is the revving I described. I wonder if it's like a sensor or vacuum leak. Oh, well.

Might have something to do with the p28 as mine had the weird idle like said above. I didn't get the jerk when letting off the gas but I got it while accelerating. Around 4k it would jerk like vtec and then vtec would hit around 4800.

Well my car has run like stock up until recently. So not sure if the ecu or engine conditions can change enough to make the fuel map off. I guess if a sensor or something isnt working, then it'll make it run differently. It seems to be getting better though with the warmer weather. Didnt like the 30 deg. mornings (yeah, i know its nothing for most of ya )

LOL. Me too man! In SA, 30* is FUCKING cold...

Anyways, I'm going to reset the ECU, taking the fuse out for 30seconds and seeing if that helps the problem.

Mine is the same also only in 5th gear though. I solved the problem by letting off the throttle slowly and it took it out. If i let it out abruptly then it kinda jerks. I also have a chipped p28.
